I’m thrilled and so honored to be part of the Fall addition of the Lemonade and Lenses magazine. You can get a digital or a hard copy HERE
The topic I discuss is shooting creatively for yourself. I think it is very easy to get in a rut and constantly shoot for our clients. We fail to really take the time to fit in what is most important….shooting for ourselves and documenting our own children and families. Bringing to life an idea or theme can also be very rewarding and personally gratifying. Pick up a copy and get inside my head as I discuss tips and ways that I go about my creative shoots!
Do we realize how precious are freedoms are? I know I am so grateful to live in a free country. I am thankful to the men and women who fight for those freedoms. I pray God will continue to bless America.
We have had such a long winter. I can’t begin to count how many times it snowed. And although snow is a very beautiful sight, it can get old after 4 months! Winter is typically my down time. It gives me a chance to brain storm new photography and business ideas for the coming year. I have some great things planned! Now if only I can find the time to execute it all! Watch for an online photography class, a posing and lighting book, and an alumni class dedicated to creating outstanding B&W’s! So much to do!
I am always perpetually behind on blogging….and you know what, that’s OK! I have decided to stop beating myself up over it and just embrace it. I do what I can when I can. I have dozens of past sessions that have never been blogged. So you will notice from now on things will not hit the blog in order of year or even seasons. You may see a winter session in the middle of the summer and a summer session during the fall. It’s just the way it’s going to have to be!
This session was shot at 2 different locations. We spent about 5 minutes at each place! It was actually a pretty nice day (for what we have been used to). The lighting was beautiful and I am pleased with the good light that we found as most of our days have been gloomy and overcast. Hope you enjoy the winter light.
