I love doing before and afters on the blog! I almost wish I could post every image this way so that you could see just how far they come with photoshop. We all know what images look like strait out of the camera! This shot was taken while I was shooting with back lighting. It is a little trickier to get these kinds of shots as your cameras meter can get a little thrown off. Sometimes the lens haze and flares can cause your camera to not want to focus the shot, so often times I have to maneuver around a little to get it right. Even then it is easy to end up with a more hazy washed out photo. There are steps insidephotoshop than can really help to bring out the subject, and most of that is done with specific sharpening settings and some “defogging” of the photo. I really love to shoot with the sun behind the subject and I am even attracted to pictures with lens haze and flares. This one needed some work, but I love the tones and look of this soft pretty photograph.
